Music is my earliest creative interest, it has ebbed and flowed since the age of 15. Little evidence exists of output before my late 20’s and that era is best left in the nostalgia file. Guitar is my primary instrument but I also play in order of proficiency bass, cajon, drums, keys, dood ( pre-clarinet ), and anything I can get my hands on.
Influences are far and wide through disparate genres. The Ventures made me want to play, Tom Waits made me want to write, Costello made me want to perform, Miles davis made me want to keep my mouth shut and feel it out, Can taught me to abandon what I knew. I began wanting to be a new wave rocker of sorts, I’ve landed on being a somewhat sentimental esoteric singer/songwriter type which will likely be supplanted by something else entirely.

This is the Album of which I am most proud. The critics and fans may disagree but to each his own.
Music Album: Bastards Bitch.
This is the Album that Sean is commenting on at the top of the page. The second full length album that I released, performed, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered.
DI and mic’d electric guitars, mic’d acoustic guitars, processed guitars, bass, processed bass, drums, banjo, percussion, layered vocals, manipulated vocals, MIDI, and loops.
This is the darkest, most misanthropic, and most self effacing of my material. While listening, keep in mind that music is an art form and involves a certain amount of fiction and exaggeration based on an emotional force. It’s me, but its not me.
Musical Album: Benjie Loveless
Awww, how cute. My first solo record. This was my first dive into using DAW based recording as opposed to all in one boxes or porta studios…and it shows a bit. I’ve partially included it here to demonstrate how skills have progressed over the years.
While I still enjoy many of the tunes and remain satisfied with much of the production, there are some quality and balance inconsistencies throughout. It should have been more cohesive.
I threw every option I had at it and sometimes forgot to make choices. If more is going to be executed without proper regard, LESS = MORE.
It stands tall as an eclectic genre hopping collection, I just hold myself to a higher standard nowadays.
